Mother of four

Dear Sifu Trent Sera,
My children , my husband and I heard about your program over the Christmas holiday and thought it was a great idea to sign up for your class and give our kids a chance to improve their motor skills. After the first couple of classes, I was so impressed with your training that my husband and I joined the work out. To say the least, my children have continued beyound Christmas and have signed up for the entire year Our family is
committed to learning the strength and commitment, of Kajukenbo. Learning self defense has really improved our knowledge of how to protect ourselves in an instant of a bad situation, to say the least, if I were in that situation. I'm very impressed with you and your staff and their ability to show us first hand experience of the Art of Self-Defense.
I was able to also meet the Founder of Kajukenbo, Sijo Adriano D. Emperado, on his visit to Maui. He watched the kids and I knew he was pleased with what he saw. He also stayed and watched the Adults perform and work out. There is so much to be thankful for. Again, thank you Sifu Trent for your time and I highly recommend this class to everyone. Sincerely, Mrs. Marie Fukushima (mother of four)

Black Belt Attitude

Dear Sifu Trent,

I am writing to inform you how much my girls have embraced Kajukenbo. In the beginning I thought their ages would be an issue, but the training sessions are tailored to accomodate young children and beginners. I am impressed with their improvement over the past three months. They have gained a great amount of determination and have set goals for themselves. Morals such as respect and discipline are reflected in their
everyday lives. They always tell me, "I'm going to have a black belt attitude." I believe Kajukenbo is a great self defense system and discipline.

Sincerely,

Cheyenne Ranis

Flexibility is a benefit

Dear Sifu Trent Sera,

Our 7 year old always looks forward to attending his Kajukenbo classes. We originally enrolled him in the school hoping that it would assist him in his ability to focus and teach him more self discipline; and not only has it helped in these areas, but his flexibility has improved so much that it makes playing golf, soccer, basketball and numerous other activities safer as this flexibility and strength decreases chances of injuries. Kajukenbo also increases self confidence and self esteem which is extremely important for children so they
can develop into "successful" adults. Sifu Trent and the other instructors do a great job with all of the children.

Sincerely,

Simon & Jill Ngan

Two hours early

Dear Sifu Trent,

Our daughter (5 yrs. old) for the last couple months has not been involved with any extra curricular activity since AYSO has ended. We thought why not enroll her in some kind of martial arts, so we hunted around. When looking for classes we found out that either she was too young or the classes were too costly. We came across Sera's Kajukenbo and was invited to bring her by to see if she would like the class. She immediately took to the class and has not looked back. Our son (10 yrs. old) will be now joining your classes
as well.

The reason we enrolled our children is for them to learn self-defense and discipline. We have noticed that not only do they learn self-defense and disipline but respect as well. On the days Kajukenbo is held, my daughter gets so excited that when she is done with her homework she puts her training shirt and gi on two hours before class. Our son liked the positive re-enforcement the instructors give to the children.

We have been very impressed with you as well as your instructors that conduct the classes. They are well trained and give the children a lot of self confidence.

Thank you

Hannah & Brad Matsumoto
